| It's good to have you here cin and im pretty sure i speak for the whole of the d/j allance when i say it is an honor to have one of the greatest d/jers to ever come to these boards standing up once again to " face the evil that is p/jer's " ( no ill intent just for dramatic effect)

Now as for you gre my friend it appears no others have come to your aid as of yet so i do not find it fair for us to just start " ganging" up on you so i offer you this..
Admit that " its only because the writers and Co.pro talked kevin out of going with his frist draft for the ending of dawson's creek and changed the ending from dawson and joey ending up together to joey and pacey." admit this and we can call this war off if not prepare yourself for the longest drawn out war/debate you will ever have :P
Reason's why they did this:
1: from the mommet they paired joey and pacey together the fan girls and boys flooded the message boards raveing over them. so it infact drove the show in a totaly diffent path hench after two seasons kevin didn't like where the show was going and decided to work on other projects.
2: 80% of the writers for dawson's creek were huge fans of katie and josh playing as a couple so they would write espiodes based on there own personel wants
3: When kevin created the show he wanted it to be base'ed somewhat on his own life the main characters Dawson and joey where were himself and his childhood friend. hence the show started with the two of them and he entended to end it with them.
4: But The evil that is p/j fan boys and girls ruined it no longer was it a show driven to create great storylines and plots no it was turned into a day time soap opprea. thats why most of its fanbase left after the 4th season. and its ratings tanked the years following. and no station will pick it up for a prime time slot.

******HAHA! I admit that Kevin asked Paul for advise on how the story should be written. Kevin had written the story's end based on his initial story line, and not based on the progression beyond season 2.

That may very well be the case...The fans were much more into Pacey and Joey which either was the driving factor or just the nuturing formula the writers feed off of to move the story along that path.
And to say the viewing went down after Season 4 may very well have to do with the way they broke Pacey and Joey's relationship up.
That larger viewing audience may have diminished because of it, leaving the original viewers, the D/Jers thinking that Dawson would rekindle with Joey.. But it wasn't the same, after P/J...That could have sunk the Dawsons Creek ship.. Enphasis on "Could have" I have nothing whatsoever againsthat point Cinn.. |

| I refuse to read ANY of this nonsense above if it is even remotely about P/J ruining or killing DC...........that's absurd. If not for that storyline the show would have been cancelled after season 3 |
