| If anyone would like to talk about the presidential election coming up, I'd be interested in hearing points of view, and sharing mine. |

| I really dont like to get into topic's like this because politics in genreal make me angery.
Afew years ago i was one of the founding members of my counties young demcrats of america chapter. i spent months on end puting up signs and going door to door for the Gore/Bush election i spent i dont know how many hours at a decks calling people etc. got to meet marren berry ark congressmen and even got to shake bill clintons hand at a fund raiser in little rock. sounds like alot of fun huh?
We helped 5 people get elected some reelected while i was a member. yet after hearing all the promises and " im gonna make a diffence where gonna change things" nothing changed teachers in arkansas have yet to see a raise in pay. grrrr
sorry im gonna skip ahead ...needless to say i lost alot of faith and i dont really know if im gonna vote this year.
I watched the two debates between obama and mccain and its like im reliving a really bad dream, they both seem to mean well and maybe might be able to help some people but ask yourself this do you really think either man is going to make that much of a diffence?
i hope they can. i hope if obama wins he is able to do half of things he promises
I hope if mccains is elected he wont be another Oil and Drug company lap dog like bush and helps bring this nation up out of this. |

| Dc, good luck with your decision..
DIG, the only thing I would ask is don't give up on your right to vote. Although you have the right not to as well..Isn't it great that we have those rights..
I'm a moderate Independent registered Republican. Not a far right conservative, nor a person who beliees goverment can make the best decision for me.
I'll be in that 1st group who hits the age of retirement and there won't be anything coming from Social security. It will be all gone.
I believe that all citizens should pay their fair share in taxes, and that we should not have governement deciding what fair is for me.
I believe that the President should have experience especially as it relates to foreign policy, and as Biden said, The president should not be learning the majority of it on the job. Some of it has to be learned on the job, if the candidate has never been president.
I also believe that a VP candidate can learn quickly because there are lots of advisers and the candidate won't be alone.
I do find it interesting when it's stated that the candidates have not clearly defined themselves. I think they have..
I only encourage everyone to examine the candidates with eyes wide open and an open mind.
I personlly don't agree with every position on either side meaning the republican or democratic party. I truly and strongly believe that a 3rd party is now more important than ever.
Of all people right now I respect Joe Liberman for standing on his principles and supporting what he think is in the best interest of the country.
I don't believe in zero regulation, but over regulation isn't good either.
So where does that leave me. |

| im not sure if im going to vote this year but if I do it will be for mccain, I don't really like either of them a whole lot but I think that mccain is real and obama is fake he just seems to promise so much stuff that sounds great but isn't really possible, like nation wide healthcare that is a pipe dream that is impossible. Now I do like biden a lot more than Palin, Palin is retarded, she might be cute but she is so inadequate to be vp, did anyone see that Katie Curak interview she was a freaking mess.
I do think that Obama is going to win though, unless something happens witch is always possible in the final stretch. |
