Nah it's cool seeing him play such a different type of character but he is sorta an ass.  1/29/2009 11:34 AM    joshsgirl 589 posts it's funny because when i saw the previews for the first episode JVDB was going to guest on i swear he was going to play dawson...i wasn't sure how i felt about that. it could have been cool but i think they're over playing those roles. i like seeing JVDB playing a different role. i'm sure he picked it on purpose. i don't think we're supposed to 'like' his character so i'd say he's doing a pretty good job ;)  2/2/2009 3:03 AM    DukeDevils9192 579 posts I think he's been hilarious on the show, and even though he's chewing scenery, he's one of the only reasons I'm enjoying the show right now. He seems to be having the time of his life, and even though I'm sure he's bitter that years running away from Dawson has brought him back to, well, Dawson, he's hilarious here.
