| jenbrit - actually i thought it was a general question...i didn't see the 'for this best friend' referring to yours. but i guess it could have answered for you, too.
here's my big thing with joey and dawson. i never really believed that they were in love with each other to begin with. i think they thought they were in love with each other - well i'll take that back, i think joey thought she was in love with dawson. i don't doubt that dawson was in love with joey. a girl and her guy best friend is complicated. things get confusing and mixed sometimes. i also refer to 'when harry met sally'. in that case the two ended up being perfect for each other. but sometimes you love a person so much that you can confuse that line of being in love and just loving them. it's usually attraction that fogs your clarity. |

| The spinning has subsided & I think I comprehend enough of your rambling now, but since your post was long enough to be the start of novel :wink: , let me just reply to the points your were trying to make -
While I will admit that everyone's own personal life experience has an affect on how they view certain situations - I am not so narrow minded to believe that (okay I'm going to use your weird brick analogy for this which still makes me want to laugh. Of all the topics you could of picked, you choose multi-colored bricks - :lol: very interesting) my brick could blue if you showed me evidence or proof that it wasn't green. Life teaches you that things aren't always as they seem as you grow-up (i.e. - Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc. aren't real) disappointing yes, but live and learn right!

I may not have fallen 'In Love' with my best friend, but that's not to say the 'nothing' hasn't ever happened (in the romantic sense), or that we both haven't wanted each other in that way over the years. I think both Dawson & Joey were in love with each other, but at different times and it became a 'friendship/soulmate' type love in the end.
