| OK, so i promised to write this episode ages ago, but hey i was busy!
this carries on after my version of the finale (all good things..must come to an end...except for true love).
I'll be posting it in 2 parts, since i haven't written the ending yet!

The Witter Wedding
(Dawson, Pacey, Joey, Andie, Jack and Doug are sitting in Dawson’s room watching E.T)
Joey- (turns off TV) aren’t we a little old to still be doing this Dawson?
Pacey- Yeah bro, you live your past enough anyway
Dawson- (throws a pillow at Pacey). Ha ha. Very funny.
Jack- I thought it was hilarious.
(all laugh except for Dawson)
Andie- stop teasing him you guys…
(phone rings)
Dawson- thank you Andie. Now, if these juvenile teen wannabes will excuse me, I’d better answer the phone.
(Dawson leaves the room)
Doug- who’d be calling at this hour?
(Joey’s cell goes off)
Pacey- well, I’d say that considering we’ve had 2 phone calls, it’s a pretty reasonable time to call at.
(Joey pokes her tongue out at him and leaves the room)
Pacey-Well, I’d say things are going pretty well.
(Joey comes back into the room looking upset)
Joey- that was Christopher.
(OPENING CREDITS)
(Scene- at the Icehouse in the kitchen)
Pacey- what secrets can you and Christopher possibly have that you don’t even want to tell me, THE MAN YOU LOVE?
Joey- it isn’t like that Pacey, it sort of hurts.
Pacey- and telling me wouldn’t make it better?
Joey-Look, Pace-
Pacey- I don’t really know what to do here Jo. One minute we’re in our hometown talking about living together in New York, the next you’re getting suspicious phone calls from your ex-boyfriend! What am I supposed to think?
(Joey is silent for a few minutes)
Joey- (whispers, looking upset) He cheated on me Pace. And now he’s marrying her.
(Pacey looks shocked, then pulls her in to a bear hug)
(Scene- Andie is driving through Capeside and she sees Dawson sitting alone on a bench. She stops her car and gets out to talk to him)
Andie- Are you OK?
Dawson-No.
Andie-Are you sure?
Dawson-Yep.
Andie- you must be upset. You’re not saying anything.
Dawson- (looks up at her) yeah, well, what is there to talk about?
(Andie says nothing for a while)
Dawson- Someone famous once said ‘If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all.
Andie- and you listened? Yeah right, you’re the king of melodramatic martyred speeches!
Dawson- thanks. I think.
Andie- why don’t you tell me what’s up?
Dawson-I’m just tired
Andie- let me tell you something Dawson. For a small yet significant part of my life, I went through a little thing called therapy. I was also put in a mental home. I know what the first stages of depression are. Without my therapy, I couldn’t have gotten through. I had to talk about the pain I felt. So do you.
Dawson- Thanks, but this pain isn’t something I can make sense of. I don’t even know why I’m this upset. Ordinarily it wouldn’t matter, but recently…
Andie- (gets up). Whatever you say, I’m here for you. Don’t forget that.
(gets back in her car and drives off)
(Dawson begins to cry)
(scene- Pacey and Andie are walking to the old high school to present an award to the theatrical society)
Pacey- I never thought I’d be remembered for being the star of the best ever Capeside high school play.
Andie- well, it isn’t like you wanted to be or anything.
(they stop outside the high school)
Pacey, I need to ask you something.
Pacey- what?
Andie- has anything weird happened recently?
Pacey- well, Joey’s pretty upset. Her ex-boyfriend cheated on her while they were going out.
Andie-that’s awful! I though he was going to propose to her?
Pacey-yeah, she thought so to. It turns out the ring was for a woman he was seeing on the side. He proposed to her.
Andie- what about the romantic weekend he planned?
Pacey- I don’t know. Joey says he probably planned the weekend to let her down gently and break up with her. She said that’s why he didn’t seem suicidal-as a brooding writer should be- when she called to finish with him.
Andie- that sucks Pacey.
Pacey- wel.. yeah.Is that what you were asking about?
Andie- actually… I was kind of worried about Dawson
Pacey- Dawson? Why?
Andie- never mind, let’s just go inside
Pacey-(looks confused) Ok.
(scene- Grams, Jack and Doug are playing with Amy and chatting)
Jack- so she’s just going to marry him without introducing him to us first?
Doug- I don’t know if it’s definite yet. Gretchen just called me yesterday. I don’t even think Pacey knows yet.
Jack-it isn’t Pacey I’m worried about.
Doug- Dawson already knew.
Jack- then why the hell didn’t he tell us?
Grams- don’t swear dear. Anyway, I’m sure the boy has his reasons.
Jack-Why did Gretchen tell Dawson? WHEN did she tell him?
Doug- I don’t know, probably on the phone the other night while we were watching E.T. All I know is that my sister is getting married to some guy called CJ in 5 days time. And I know she’s getting married right here in Capeside.
Grams- 5 days? Are we invited?
Jack- that depends.
Grams-on what?
Doug-on whether her fiancée likes us when he meets us at the engagement party tomorrow.
Grams- tomorrow? I think I’d better lie down…
(Scene- Pacey is on the phone to Gretchen)
Pacey- so you finally decided to break his geeky little heart entirely into little pieces of filmstrip?
Gretchen- it wasn’t like that little brother.
Pacey- then why was he the first to know?
Gretchen- he means a lot to me Pacey. That boy still has a little piece of my heart.
Pacey- (sighs). Oh boy, this sounds familiar. Dawson Leery, the boy no woman can forget or move on from.
Gretchen- Dawson is very important to me.
Pacey- whatever Gretchen. But he’s my friend, and he’s my girlfriend’s soulmate.
So next time you decide to drive him into the arms of Alex Berry with some crazy wedding, don’t.
Gretchen- what? He’s gone gay?
Pacey- Dr. Berry is a woman.
Gretchen-(looks slightly put out) A woman?
Pacey- yes Gretchzilla, a woman. In fact, Capeside’s most successful doctor. She’s the first Capeside shrink to ever earn over 10k a year. Of course, that’s thanks to or friend Mr Leery.
Gretchen- I don’t understand you Pacey.
Pacey- (speaking slowly, as if talking to a 5 year old) Dawson has a problem called DEPRESSION. DR Berry says it’s caused by stress or heartbreak. Andie is helping him through it, but he’s a bit messed up.
Gretchen- Oh god. Is he coming to my engagement party tomorrow?
Pacey- (looks shocked)
I can’t believe you just asked me such a selfish question.
(hangs up)
(scene-Joey is sitting in a coffee shop reading)
(Pacey comes up behind her)
Pacey-Hey gorgeous (kisses her)
Joey- Pacey! God, you don’t know how glad I am to see you.
Pacey- Jo, you might wanna wait to hear what I have to say first.
Joey- (slowly) OK…
Pacey- I know it’s probably not the best timing in the world, but Gretchen’s in town.
Joey- Why is it bad timing?
Pacey- she’s come to, well she’s here so that… she’s come to get married.
(Joey looks surprised, Pacey quickly moves on)
I know it isn’t the best time to mention the dreaded M word, but it’s her engagement party tomorrow.
Joey- I’ll go.
Pacey- you will?
Joey- Yes. On one condition.
Pacey- anything you want.
Joey- when you see Dawson, no matter how nice the groom is, or how much hockey he plays (Pacey looks embarrassed at this) don’t you dare say anything about how happy Gretchen’s gonna be. Dawson can’t handle it, I can’t handle it.
Pacey- fine. But Dawson has to accept reality sometime Joey.
Joey- I know but-
Pacey-and you can’t shelter him from it forever. No matter how much you want to.
(Pacey turns and leaves the room)
(Joey looks annoyed)
(Scene- Andie and Joey are getting ready for the party in front of the mirror)
Andie-(brushing her hair) I wonder who the guy is that Gretchen’s marrying… she never mentioned him to us.
Joey-(putting earrings in) yeah, well, you know Gretchen. She doesn’t believe in lying, she just believes in avoiding the subject altogether
Andie-(laughs) harsh.
Joey- no, I’m happy for her. I really am. (pauses) I wonder what he’s like.
Andie- apparently he’s some big New Yorker called C.J. (Joey looks up)
And don’t tell Dawson, but he HATES The Creek. Apparently, some ex of his was obsessed by it, and he doesn’t like to remember her. He’s into writing, just like Gretchen.
Joey-(looking shocked) (slowly) yeah…. Let’s not tell Dawson that.
(is looking really confused)
C.J.... why is that name so familiar?…
