[Scene: the Potter B&B. It’s really early in the morning. Pacey is staring at Joey sleeping]
[Joey opens her eyes]
Pacey- You finally fell asleep... I was getting worried.
Joey- Well I didn’t get any the night before.
[Pacey rolls over a little and hugs her]
Pacey- You okay...?
[Joey starts to tear up]
Joey- At least I know now... and you’re here.
Pacey: Don’t worry Jo, we will get through this together because we can get through this together. All because I love you....
Joey- You really know how to cheer a girl up.
Pacey- Well... it is the Witter way.
[Joey rolls her eyes]
Pacey- Well the Witter’s try....
Joey- I am so glad I have you, any other guy would be halfway across the state by now. Not my Pace...
Pacey- By the way, I was up half the night thinking. This won’t disturb your plans Jo, I promise....
[Joey interrupts him]
Joey- Yes it will Pace, and I am willing to do it. Worthington isn’t everything to me. You are and this baby will be.
Pacey- And your everything to me and the baby of course. Just hear me out. I will get a job this summer, we can save up and then move to Boston. You can go to Worthington and we can rent an apartment. I can stay at home with the baby and maybe I can get a job that can work around your school schedule. Joey, I am not going to let you ruin your dreams.
Joey- You are my dreams Pace...
[They hug passionately and share a romantic kiss]

[Capeside High Hallway]
Jen- So Joey, what's occupying your mind today. You seems a little out of the loop.
Joey- It’s nothing Jen, really.
Jen- How come I don’t believe you?
Joey- Because you are way too suspicious.
Jen- What is it... exams, Pacey, prom... just tell me Jo.
Joey- Jen, your right I was thinking about prom.
{Which of course wasn’t true.}
[Pacey walks up behind Joey, hugs her and is spinning her around]
Pacey- Hey gorgeous!
Joey- Here’s my man!
[They share a kiss]
Jen- I guess that’s my clue to go.
[They start kissing again, more like making out]
Joey- Hey Pace, this is what got me into our situation...
Pacey- My sexiness...?
[They laugh]
Pacey- Which reminds me Jo. I have scheduled us an appointment at the doctors today after school.
Joey- Wow Witter, you are one step ahead of me.
Pacey- And also... I do still have tickets to a certain prom if you still want to go....?
Joey- Well we probably should. Or else people are going to be very suspicious. Which brings me to this, how are we going to tell everyone?
Pacey- I was thinking about that too, maybe we should wait a month or so. Then we can get everyone together and tell them as a group. But we probably should tell Bessie.
Joey- Yeah, I just...
[Her voice trails off]
Pacey- Your scared...and I get it, but we have to do it sometime. I am sure Bessie will be supportive Jo.
Joey- Well then we should tell Gretchen too. She knows that I’m late, just not that I’m pregnant.
Pacey- We will tell them when your ready, ok?
Joey- Okay...
[Pacey leans over and gives her a big hug]
Dawson- Am I interrupting something?
Joey- Oh nothing Dawson.
Dawson- All ready to go to the prom this Friday?
Pacey- Yes! We’ve got our tickets and I was thinking, all of us should share a limo.
Dawson- Great idea... I already have one booked, so we can just split the cost.
Joey- Perfect, well I have to get going to fourth period. See you guys later.
[Kisses Pacey on the cheek]
Dawson- Is she alright? She wasn’t herself today in English.
Pacey- Oh yea, she’s doing great.
Dawson- Well I have to get going. Bye Pace.

[The doctors office. Joey is sitting in the chair and Pacey is holding her hand, beside her]
Pacey- It’s going to be okay.
[He kisses her on the cheek]
[Doctor walks in]
Doctor- Hi Joey. I’m Doctor Greene.
Joey- Hi, this of course is my boyfriend Pacey which you already know.
Doctor- Yes I do. I delivered Mr. Witter in fact. So Pacey tells me that you think you’re pregnant.
Joey- Yes, I took an early pregnancy test, I came out positive.
Doctor- Listen, I have to ask you Pacey... did you wear a condom or were you Joey, on the pill?
Pacey- Condom...
Doctor- Okay. Well as you know they are only 97% affective. It’s too early to look at your stomach [the doctor laughed]. Okay Joey we will have to take a few tests. Come with me.

Pacey- Thanks Dr. Greene.

[Joey grabbed Pacey’s hand and held it really tight]
