| Hey guys I'm think about writing a fiction in my spare time...I'm going to take where the finale left off. Actually I came up with the idea of this story while I was trying to sleep the other night. :? :lol: I was thinking "How did Pacey get to New Yourk so fast and still keep the resturant that he worked so to keep in bussiness? and did joey and pacey talk after he gave her you're off the hook speech?" So I'll be starting it soon...just thought I would let you know! |

| Well right now I do...but that's because it's the begining of the semester and the teachers don't give us homework within the first week. Actually I do have homework but it's only reading and I read pretty fast.
Anyway, I'm going to go work on the story right now and I should have the first part done by the weekend or early next week! |

| Ok guys here is the first part...Hope you like it. Feedback would be greatly appreciated! :D
Now everything that happened in the finale happened up until this scene.
Disclaimer: I don’t own any of the characters or the scenes that happened in the finale. I only own the added scenes and/or dialogue and the added storyline. :D Now without further ado here is the first part of the story. (I haven’t thought of a good name for this story, so if anyone thinks of one please tell me your ideas! Thanks!)
[Scene: Ice House Kitchen. Pacey goes in to the kitchen and sees Joey looking around]
Pacey: Hey.
Joey: I'm looking for some serving spoons.
Pacey: They're in the bin at the end.
Joey: Well, how you doing? You ok?
Pacey: Yeah. Yeah, I really am ok.
Joey: What's going on in that head of yours?
Pacey: You're off the hook.
Joey: What?
Pacey: You're off the hook. I've never really put much faith in all that "If you love someone, set them free" crap, as evidences by everything I've done in my life up to this very moment, but I am determined to be happy, Joey. Happy in this life. And I love you. I mean, I always-- I have always, always loved you. But our timing has just never been right. And the way I figure it, time is no man's friend. So I have to get right with that and be happy, now. Because this is it. I mean, this is all that we get. If there's one thing I've learned from losing Jen, that's what I've learned.
Joey: Pacey, I-
Pacey: Actually, um, hold on. I'm not done yet. Because I also want for you to be happy. It's really important for me that you be happy. So I want you to be with someone, whether it be Dawson or New York guy or some man that you haven't even met yet. But I want you to be with someone who can be a part of the life that you want for yourself. I want you to be with someone who makes you feel like I feel when I'm with you. So, I guess the point to this long run-on sentence that's been the last 10 years of our lives is just that the simple act of being in love with you is enough for me. So you're off the hook.
Joey: You know, for the record, I-- [Sniffles] I don't want to be let off the hook. Because everything in my life that I've done has led me here... right now, and the last thing I want, need, or deserve is to be let off somebody's hook.
Pacey: Please don't miss my point here 'cause-
Joey: And don't miss mine. Pacey... I love you. You know that. And it's very real. It's so real that it's kept me moving, mostly running from it, never ready for it. And I love Dawson. He's my soul mate. He's tied to my childhood, and it's a love that is pure and eternally innocent. I can't be let off the hook because I might just get the notion that it's ok to keep running.
Pacey: So then, what exactly are you saying here?
[Gales comes in and interrupts them]
Gale: Oh, Pacey, there you are. Um, we need plates.
[Pacey hands her some plates]
Gale: You are so sweet to open up your place like this. I love you both.
[Gale leaves them alone again]
Pacey: Ok, uh... I think you were maybe just about to say something really important.
Joey: Pacey... I realize...
[Bessie comes in this time and interrupts them.]
Bessie: Joey, give me a hand. Here, grab this tray. Here.
[Bessie hands Joey a tray of food.]
Bessie: How you doing, Pacey?
Pacey: I'm good, Bess. I'm good, thanks.
*As Joey heads out the door she looks behind her and she can tell that Pacey is confused and makes a mental note to talk to Pacey later*
*Scene- Bessie and Joey are sitting at a table at the Ice house and Joey is deep in thought about what happened earlier in the kitchen and Bessie notices*
Bessie: What’s on your mind sis?
Joey: Pacey.
*Bessie looks at her with a confused look*
Joey (cont.): Pacey and I were talking in the kitchen earlier and I think he is confused about what I said because we got interrupted twice. And I just don’t want him to get the wrong idea.
Bessie: Who interrupted you? And what were you talking about?
Joey: The first time we were interrupted by Mrs. Leery because she was looking for plates and the second *pause* the second time it was you. But it’s ok...I mean it wasn’t the best place to be talking about what we were talking about anyway.
Bessie: I’m sorry Jo. *she pauses then she asks again* what were you and Pacey talking about?
*Joey explains that Pacey told her that she was off the hook and that he was determined to be happy and move on with his life and that he loved her and that he had always loved her but that their timing has never been right and that he needs to be ok with that and be happy now! She also tells Bessie that he also wants her to be happy and that he wants her to be with a guy who can be part of the life that she wants for herself and that he wants her to be with someone who makes her feel the way he feels when he’s with her*
Joey: And then I told him that I didn't want to be let off the hook. Because everything in my life that I had done had led me there right then and I told him that the last thing I wanted, needed, or deserved was to be let off somebody's hook. And I told him that I love him and that it is very real. I told him it was so real that it kept me moving and mostly running from it and I was never ready for it. And I told him that I loved Dawson and that he's my soul mate and that he's tied to my childhood, and that it's a love that is pure and eternally innocent. I told him that I can't be let off the hook because I might just get the notion that it's ok to keep running. And then he asked me what I was saying and that’s when Gale came in asking for plates. After she left, I was about to say that I realized that I’m supposed to be with him. But then you came in asking for help. And as I left I turned back to look at him and I saw how confused he was and I don’t want for him to be confused....not about us and where we stand. *sighing* Now I don’t know what to do!
Bessie: Wow!
Joey: I know. And I wasn’t really prepared for it either he just said it without warning.
Bessie: Jo, I think you should go and talk to him and tell him how you feel. Doug said that he saw Pacey at home after they came back from the Ice House and he said that Pacey said that he was going to be staying home for the rest of the night. And Doug said that he was on his way to Grams house to patch things up with Jack. And that means you and Pacey will have the whole house to yourself so you and him can talk without interruption, ok?
Joey: Yeah you’re right. Thanks Bess!
*Joey hugs her sister and then she leaves to go to her car and the screen fades to black*
*commercial break (hehe)*
*She gets in her car and see looks at her cell phone and she sees the message light blinking. She reads the caller ID and she sees it’s from Pacey. She checks her voice mail and she hears his voice*
Pacey *on message*: Hey Jo, it’s Pacey.....um....we need to talk about what we were talking about earlier. I have a feeling that what you were going to say was big and would change everything, and I need to know what that is. Doug is out for the evening patching things up with Jack so I’m here all evening. So give me a call when you get this and if you want to come over and talk I’m here. I guess that’s it. Talk to you then. Bye.
*Joey smiles to herself and starts to dial his number*
*It rings once no answer.......twice no answer.....third no answer...and just as she about to hang up Pacey answers*
Pacey: Hello?
Joey: Hi I got your message and I was hoping to come over and talk to you now...that is if you’re not busy.
Pacey: No I’m not busy. I was just taking a shower.
Joey: Oh. Well I can be there in about 15 minutes. How does that sound?
Pacey: That sounds great! I’ll see you then.
Joey: Ok see you then!
*Joey hangs up her starts the car and heads over to Paceys house*
*Pacey hangs up smiles to himself glad that she had called him and that she was going to be there in 15 minutes and get this all straighten out...he has a feeling that it could change his life forever. Then he turns to go get dressed and ready to see Joey* |
