Ok, we hear you man...But let me ask you this...?
How did you feel about what Andie did, and how would you have advised Pacey to deal with it??? |

| That is a very good question, and not a very easy one to answer either. So I will try and break this down and answer the best I can. Starting first with how I felt about what Andie did.
Ok I think it was extremely messed up what Andie did yes. I do not agree with her actions or support what she did. Was she in a funny spot, yes. I do however take her mental state into consideration, and would support her 50% if she plead the mentaly unstable case. Cuz obviously she wasn't of sound mind when she went to the hospital, and none of us know just how bad Andies condtion got before she started getting better. I mean with mental illness, things usually get worse before they get better, even after being checked in for help. Overall however it was wrong, and I do think that she had seriously messed up. I am shocked that it happened, but as a T.V. fan the writers obviously had no new angles for Pacey and Andie.
Ok now the hardest part of the question. How would I advise Pacey to handle the situation. I have to think I would side with him. I would tell him that he was right in his decsion to break things off with Andie. However I would tell him due to the fact that he did love Andie so much, not to completely write her out of his life. Past, present, or future. I would tell him to try and always remember Andie for the good things the two of them shared, and those special moments, when they needed each other the most. Also I think I would tell him to keep an open mind about anything to do with Andie in the future. People change. Someday he might be able to completely forgive her. I mean Mitch and Gale got back together once they worked out their problems. Granted it took a lot of ups and owns, and was painful for both parties, but in the end they still loved each other very much. So I would tell him to follow his heart. If it doesn't feel right then it probably isn't. Also there may come a day in the future where he might feel differantly, and if that day were to come, he should follow his heart. If it means he still wants Andie, then take her back. If it says he wants her as a friend which they later became, then have her as a firend, but always remain open to possibility.
I think thats how I would handle that. I know its pretty vegue, but what do you tell a guy whos entire world just got shattered. Hard postion to put yourself in. |
