I really didn't care for their relationship in Season 5.... I think they needed each other and some how along the line they became a couple..... More of a friendly couple to me............. Jen needed someone to love her without reservation, to let her know how valuable she was, and Dawson needed someone tell him when he was full of it and it was time to get real, something Jen was very good at. Dawson and Joey together on the other hand would have driven each other crazy. They were too much alike and their neurosis and overreaction would have spun the relationship out of control, just as it did every time they got together. TBS is in the middle of the Dawson/Jen romance right now. Sleeping arrangements aired today. Chuck  10/28/2005 6:52 AM    slyn11 1797 posts I really liked Dawson and Jen. He had the fantasy and she had the reality. They complemented each other well. IF you think back to season 2 when she tried to get Dawson to loosen up...those were some great moments. Dawson was truly living - not just observing. THe trapper keeper...one of the sweetest moments on Dawson's Creek. I just never understood why they broke them up? I can understand Jen being bored with him, but I can't see Dawson just giving her up. I hate that the writers made it seem so easy for Dawson to move on from Jen - both times. Jen deserved better than that.  10/28/2005 7:01 AM    Sugarless 4860 posts The first time he didn't move on quickly.... he went a bit nuts :lol: But I definitely agree that the second time was pure bullshit... it made jen out to not be ready for a real relationship... but by that time, she was more than ready. And no one really even follows why they really broke up or anything. And you're right slyn, it surely should have been a bigger deal when it ended.... And chuck...
