I don't think there is really any hard core evidence that they were "still in love" sure there was still some feelings but I don't that you would call it love... And Jimmy I really don't think it turned her world upside down when she saw Pacey that night at civilization... I'm sure it resurfed some feelings, but for the most part I think she was more worried about being his friend then anything...She hadn't hear from him all summer and for 3 weeks he was in Boston and did find her. I think she was worried because of how things ended between them...... I think she still loved him as anyone would but I don't think she was in love with him..... As for when Dawson's dad died, I don't think he actully blamed Joey, I think he blamed himself and his feelings for Joey and because of that it was hard for him to be around her............ I honestly think it was easy for Joey because she knew that she wasn't the one who could help Dawson... So she stepped back... I think she was hurt and bothered by him breaking up with her.......... But it had nothing to do with Pacey!! Plus, she had already made her mind up about at the party.... To live the college experience......... and that was before Pacey was in the picture.....

I could probably go on and on myself on what I felt were clues, but I'll spare ya'll the diatribes...this time. This, however, sums it up perfectly. [quote:90b719ae87="chuck"]It wasn't played up, like white noise in the background, it was always there.[/quote:90b719ae87] Peeeereach it, chuck. Whether or not there is hardcore evidence doesn't matter to me. Does it need to be? I wasn't a fan of A.J., but he did quote one of the better lines pertaining to P.J., "The loudest sound of all: love unspoken". I think Pacey and Joey's greatest testament to their love for each other was truly giving each other space until they were both really ready to commit to each other in a [i:90b719ae87]real[/i:90b719ae87] adult relationship.

Thinking about this, the real question is not just did she love Pacey? because she did, but she also loved Dawson after a fashion. It's a question of who did she love in a romantic way? Who is she willing to commit to? That is a difficult question since the writers intentionally tried to avoid telling us once they decided to restart the triangle. P/Jers see it in their chemistry that is there all the time. D/Jers deny the chemistry and point to D/J on again/off again attempts. Maybe we ought to look at Joey's reaction when she saw them with other women.`I'll have to think about that. Comments? Chuck

You know Chuck you rise an interesting question...... I know I'm a D/Jer all the way.... Always have been.... But honestly if you think about this it bothered her more to see Dawson with other women then it did Pacey..... Joey wasn't very happy about Gretchen at all..... You could see it in her eyes all of season 4..... and then again in Season 5 with jen....

Yep he was dating her room mate, but the looks they gave eachother, you could just tell how much they still cared for and loved eachother, but i dont think either of them wanted to admit it to themsleves let alone the other person. I know for Djers Castaways is a nightmare episode, but for us Pjers it proves what we've been preaching all along. Could you imagine the same episode but with joey and dawson being locked in?!?!?! I mean come on, even the most die hard d/j fans have to admit it just wouldnt have been as good!?!! Still even after that amazing eye opening night they both just arent ready to commit, but another 5 years down the line the feelings are still there!? Who can now say that their love died?! As chuck so brillantly put, 'its like white noise it is always there' some times in the distant background but im convinced that they never stopped loving eachother!
