Episode that i loved but also hated - yep i know BIG contradiction there is........The prom one where Joey and Pacey have the big fall out - can't remember the proper title for the episode but there is a part of me that LOVES that episode and part of me that HATES it at the same time! |

Hee. I'm with ya there, girl. But a line like that stays with me. Ever since I heard it, I've been quoting it. :D It's just [i:12a1b87da3]so[/i:12a1b87da3] perfect. Kinda wish [i:12a1b87da3]Pacey[/i:12a1b87da3] uttered the line.

I get ya! Because I feel the same way. The bitter P/Jer in me (even though I know how it all ends) just can't stand to look at "Promicide", but the regular ol' TV-watcher in me thinks it's quite a nice hour of televsion. And both Josh and Katie give spectacular performances. I also love the interchange between Drue and Jen. Despite the terrible way it all ended, it's a pretty enjoyable episode.
[quote:12a1b87da3="Halfpint"]I also didn't like the whole swan song airport thing, disappointing!!!!!![/quote:12a1b87da3]
Oh, that's another good one. Since when is Pacey all gung-ho about Joey running after [i:12a1b87da3]Dawson[/i:12a1b87da3]? |

Remember the "worlds could use another Romeo and Juliet" line in THe Long Goodbye? That was the same Pacey running through the airport in Swan Song. But do you see how he had to be really prompted to do a grand romantic gesture for Audrey? That was a very telling moment. I am still not sure if he did because he thought that Joey and Dawson were finally going to end up together - so it is better not to sleep alone. |

| This is a toughie, I have two.. both from S6. First, episode 2...Dawson finally gets with Joey and has a shot at the grand relationshp he has been dreaming about for 4 years and he just lets her push him away...he hardly puts up a fight at all...this was just pathetic writing.
the other scene is in the series finale Joey and Pacey in the Kitchen after Jen's funeral...the speech she gives actually applies more to Dawson then Pacey. |

I was just making this point with Cinn the other day. This is the reason why this board has fallen to where it is. There are No DJers left to promote these absolutely off the wall and absurd opinions. Without them there's nothing to talk about except conversation. How can you possibly take the following and say it applies to Dawson..........I mean even if it was him standing in the kitchen............like you'd ever see Leery in a kitchen. In the first place NEVER in a quadrillion years would you ever see Dawson making the grand gesture of letting her off the hook. That alone disqualifies him. What can you point to over the whole 6 years of the show that would lead you to believe it brought her to this point. In 6 years of broadcast television they never were able to make them romantic much less ready to committ to one another. The part that is about him is obviously about him. It is obviously written as misdirection so it won't spoil the surprise of the ending. In no way does it say, in light of the actual ending, that she loves him eternally. Read it again, big guy. Read it again.
Joey: You know, for the record, I-- [Sniffles] I don't want to be let off the hook. Because everything in my life that I've done has led me here... right now, and the last thing I want, need, or deserve is to be let off somebody's hook.
Pacey: Please don't miss my point here 'cause—
Joey: And don't miss mine. Pacey... I love you. You know that. And it's very real. It's so real that it's kept me moving, mostly running from it, never ready for it. And I love Dawson. He's my soul mate. He's tied to my childhood, and it's a love that is pure and eternally innocent. I can't be let off the hook because I might just get the notion that it's ok to keep running |
