Well, I was late but I finally watched it today. It's a really good episode. I really don't like Chris Wolfe but I found it harder to dislike him as much this time because someone turned me on to Roswell finally and now I just see him as Max pretending to be someone else. It really did seem a bit weird in retrospect having all of them go to Mr. Popularity's house to study when he wasn't even remotely a part of their little group. At that point Andie barely was herself but at least she had Pacey for a reason to be included. Joey's reactions and reasons for acting the way she did around Dawson are a little flakey but then I know people like her who just want to go out and do what comes naturally and not overanalyze everything. Dawson was just the opposite and those two just bring natural eruptions to the surface.........even for soulmates. The whole Magazine survey thing was really what made the whole episode click. I'll never understand why people are so into those things but then look at MySpace........it thrives with the very same kind of surveys going from person to person to person. The only interesting thing that came out of it though, in retrospect, is that Pacey is the one really honest person in the group. They all had their reasons to shade their answers and were cautious about them. Pacey for all of his "flaws" was the one who told the truth because he didn't want to lie to Andie. It's an early sign of the man he was to become. Who else watched it?

Chris Wolf attempts to legitimize the study session by inviting the gang over , with the intention of getting with Jen regardless.. And despite balking at his initial advance, she basically is game for the encounter anyway.. So who needed the rest of them there in the first place. The episode wasn't really about studying... The only real question was why was Chris Wolf at the study session at the school???

[b:0ec36766cd]I think we need to set up an email reminder list for the DVD club, so we all can get in the habit of coming here for discussion. [/b:0ec36766cd] The Allnighter is my little sister's favorite episode I think. She loves the cast integration and the fact they are acting more like real teens. THe best part about that ep for me is when Dawson does that flip into the pool...that may have been the coolest Dawson maneuver ever. I am not the biggest P/A fan, so their mini drama over Pacey's promiscuous past was not a big draw for me. But I did enjoy Chris Wolfe's seduction of Jen. (Gotta love my Max Evans hee hee) I liked catching a glimpse of bad girl Jen throughout season 2. Jimi...so true why were they all at Chris's house. Really only Jen and Abby should have plausibly been there. Oh and where was Abby?? That would have just added so much to the fun.
