| mmmmmm....now that is an interesting one....
I always like joey and eddie - yep shock horror a P/J fan can admit joey was suited with soem one else too........as long as its not Dawson I'm open to the idea :D
Think maybe they could have worked but utlimately i reckon that the writers always knew in their heart of hearts that they would end the programme with Pacey and Joey together and for that reason they couldnt build up a long everlasting eddie joey combo and i think likewise it is the reason they ended pacey and oh my god her name has gone from my head ..... been watching so much ER recently i can only see her as the character in ER...ahhhh and i was so on a role then with my ramble...
anyways back to the point.... I feel that the writers always had the P/J finale in their heads and never really gave eddie and joey a chance to grow, but i loved the story line, season 5 and 6 were two of my favs (i know loads disagree with me) but feel that is partly due to the joey eddie combo...
I liked the way eddie challenged Joey he didnt make things easy for her in the slightest and I liked that about him and it was good to see how Joey reacted to him leaving and coming back and then leaving again...
So all in all I guess what I am saying is no they wouldnt have worked becasue in the long run ... destiny runs its course and it was always going to be a P/J ending....
