| I was surfing the web at work today, because I couldn't find anything else to do (hehehe). Anyways, I came across an interview someone did with James.
In the interview James said that his role of Dawson was just as much a blessing as it was a curse, because the audiences starte to believe that you are the person you play on TV. He was also talking about a recent trip to Africa him and Heather went on and he was doing a documentary of the trip and found himself thinking I haven't walked around with a camera in my hand since on the set of Dawson's Creek. He actully had to remind himself that it's ok to do that, that enough time has passed that people won't tease him about it being "Dawson like"............
James was also asked why we haven't seen much of him, like Katie and Michelle, He replied that he is very picky and doesn't want to work on something that just doesn't interest him. He stated that his agent thought he was nuts for passing on things, but he don't want to DO ANYTHING he didn't believe in...... hmmm interesting!!
They talked about DC some, he said that around the same time the WB deicded to pull the plug on DC he was saddened, but also happy because he could see the decline. He also stated that in the 6 years, they changed head writers several times, so alot of things were being done that had already been done and if KW would've stuck around for all the six years it may have been very different!! James did say that when KW come back to do the fianle that is was really interesting because Dawson didn't get the girl and that Dawson getting to met his idol was the big pay off----JVB grins and says "I didn't get the girl--but I go tto meet him"
When asked about his co-stars, James said that he is very close to Michelle, He don't see Josh at all, but he sees Kerr,Busy and Hal....but he doesn't think of them as his co-stars, just friends. There was no mention of Katie ..... (hmmmmmm but I read somewhere that he attended her 2nd wedding party.......but they might not have spoken until them who knows)
He was talking about doing some of his own films, and the reporter with him says something like hmmmmmmmmmmm just like Dawson eh?
JVD says "I resisted doing this for so long because his (dawson's)idea of what a writer and director is, is so far away from what mine is. It really is. But I guess, it's an easy comparison for people to make"
***Just thought I would share this with you guys** |

Dawson's Creek star Joshua Jackson was relieved when the TV sitcom ended--because he hated his co-star James Van Der Beek.
The 26-year-old hunk still keeps in touch with his former castmates Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams, but refuses to speak to Van der Beek, insisting their on-screen friendship was the opposite of their stormy real-life relationship.
He says, "I keep in touch with the main guys. I spoke to Katie last night. But we're all so geographically remote.
"Katie's in New York, Michelle is in Brooklyn and I'm in Vancouver. I don't see James. We just didn't click. It was a mutually appreciated fact that we didn't appreciate each other." |
