| I don't see anywhere appropriate to continue this discussion... so a new thread it is! :)
Slyn:
Pacey and Joey had the lust and the love....and I am starting to think that maybe Jen and Pacey could have had that too...if it had developed.
Sugarless:
Alright... just STOP right there....
they had very BRIEF moments of lust for each other... and purly platonic love for each other.... they were too much alike to ever balance each other in any real way....
slyn11:
but you got to admit...Jen and Pacey could have been hot. I mean they both had that uninhibited side...coupled with their capacity for human
Sugarless:
I don't HAVE to admit that... but I'll think about it...
The few... and I mean FEW times that they were making out... yes, they hot. The problem with me seeing what you're talking about, is that there was nothing behind it... if they had been able to let loose, they would have had a wild, and very short time of it... because despite their ability to be in lustful, hot relationships, they both needed and wanted the emotional side... and though they were good friends... that was, and would be, missing from their relationship...
I just don't see the emotional side developing for them....
slyn11:
not even when he comforted her during the Thanksgiving episode? To me that was the scene that made me feel like maybe....
Sugarless:
But that was the friendship part of them... that was when I KNEW it wouldn't go anywhere... because they too good of friends for sex with no strings attached... there was never any longing, or romance... and they were two people who needed that in a relationship... for it to be real and to work....
slyn11:
ok I am totally hijacking this from Andie..but when did Jen ever have a relationship with longing? Or are we talking about Jack here? |

| And you're right... jen didn't have longing like that... though I think that was missing, part of why she didnt' have any GREAT relationships...
In fact, as far as relationships go... the only ones I remember counting are henry, CJ, and dawson....ewww, and ty the bible guy....
with henry there was a sweetness... it had the romance aspect, and restored her faith in guys....
CJ.... I don't really remember enough about him...
Dawson... not enough of a chance... she ran scared right?
Ty... a disaster
I don't see jack that way... if he were straight and there were that possibility... most definitely... but I DO think that the longing for him could be described as her wanting what she had with jack in a relationship... but that's all....
So where were we with pacey? |

| I think Jen could have longed for Pacey if she had let herself. I think in Four to Tango it was almost there. I think she was hurt that Pacey and her were not working out. Like maybe she wanted it to. |

| They both 'wanted' it too.... with their heads they did. But their hearts told them differently.... and part of why she was hurt was because it felt like she was being pushed aside for joey again... |

| she was being pushed aside for Joey.
Of course I am of the belief that Pacey has had a thing for Joey since before season 1, so Jen never really stood a chance. Once Joey started letting Pacey hang around her, he was going to fall in love.
I find it interesting though, that she was willing to take a chance with Pacey (albeit casually) but no chance at all with Henry. Maybe there was some attraction for Pacey underneath it all... |
