Heath Ledger was found dead today at his apartment. Heath became known around here when he married Michelle Williams. Our deepest thoughts and well wishes go out to Michelle and their beautiful daughter Matilda.

Michelle Williams to sell New York home

Michelle Williams is set to sell the New York home she shared with ex-lover Heath Ledger.

The former 'Dawson's Creek' actress - who has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda, with the Australian actor - was overheard telling a pal she wants to leave the Brooklyn mansion because it is too big for her.

A source said, "The Brooklyn brownstone is too big for just her and the baby."

Michelle is now said to be considering buying a smaller apartment in nearby Manhattan.

Last month, it was revealed Michelle and Heath had split after battling to save their "rocky" relationship for the sake of their child.

A source said, "It was rocky for a while. They did what they could to make it work. The split was amicable."

Heath and Michelle began dating after meeting on the set of 'Brokeback Mountain' in 2004.

Fellow 'Brokeback Mountain' star Jake Gyllenhaal revealed the pair were instantly attracted to each other.

He said, "I remember being in rehearsals, and the two of them made eyes for each other. There were immediate sparks."

Michelle gave birth to Matilda as the couple were promoting 'Brokeback Mountain' and Heath, 28, called her the "perfect mom."

The pair wore wedding bands during their relationship but refused to confirm if they were married.

Michelle Williams linked to Phil Morrison

NEWS of the relationship breakdown with her Brokeback Mountain bloke Heath Ledger broke only a couple of months ago, but Michelle Williams is reportedly already back on the dating horse.

The former fiancee of the Aussie heart-throb has been stepping out with filmmaker Phil Morrison, according to glossy US mag Star.

Williams, who has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda, with Ledger, has been friends with the director of the Oscar-nominated flick Junebug for years.

Morrison also directed the infamous "Get a Mac" advertising campaign for Apple Computers, which starred actor Justin Long.

"(They) are being cautious because they know Michelle is just coming off a serious relationship - but it's hard to take things slow when you're having so much fun," a source told the mag.

Williams' father Larry Williams, who is grounded in Sydney while he fights extradition over US tax evasion charges, confirmed to Confidential the final credits had rolled in September on the Hollywood relationship with Ledger.

The pair have not spoken publicly about the split or been seen together since.

Ledger, who has since been linked to supermodel Helena Christensen, shunned the New York premiere of his Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There earlier this month, leaving Williams free to walk the red carpet. He has also left the Brooklyn house they had shared, moving to Manhattan.

Michelle Williams to star in 'Mammoth'

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 29 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Michelle Williams has signed on to star in "Mammoth," Swedish director Lukas Moodysson's first English-language film, Variety.com reported.

Williams, who earned an Oscar nomination for her performance in "Brokeback Mountain,"

and Gael Garcia Bernal, who starred in "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Babel," will play a New York couple facing a crisis, the trade paper said.

The movie is to begin shooting Nov. 5 in Thailand. Production is to move on to the Philippines, Sweden and New York.

Joshua Jackson To Guest Star On Grey's Anatomy

Hollywood, CA (CNS) - Former 'Dawson's Creek' star and television heartthrob Joshua Jackson is to guest star on ABC's hit hospital drama 'Grey's Anatomy." Jackson is scheduled to play a doctor on several episodes of the highly-rated show.

According to the Dose, there have been several casting announcements from the show in recent weeks, including actor Seth Green, who will also be making recurring appearances.

Meanwhile, the former Pacey Witter recently completed work with actor/director Stuart Townsend on his directorial debut in 'Battle in Seattle,' which is due to hit cinema screens next year.

A source on set of �Valkyrie� - Tom�s latest film, said: �It�s something they want to do sooner rather than later. Suri has been such a joy for Tom, so he�d be more than happy to have another girl. Katie feels the same.�

TomKat are currently residing in Berlin while Tom shoots scenes for his new film.

Katie Holmes, 28, is keeping her schedule free and has no new movies lined up.

A source told America�s OK! magazine: �She is preparing for another pregnancy.�

Asked recently if she wanted more children, Katie said: �Yes, definitely. We�re having the best time, it�s so amazing. We have so many kids in our house, there�s always this wonderful chatter and this great noise of kids.�

James Van Der Beek Will Appear in Second Season of Ugly Betty

James Van Der Beek has been tapped for a guest role on ABC's hit dramedy, Ugly Betty. According to E! Online, Van Der Beek will play the owner of a fashion house called Attic Attire.

A "slightly homophobic designer," Van Der Beek's character experiences some problems working with Mode magazine's co-editor, Alexis Meade (Rebecca Romjin), who is a transsexual. He pressures Alexis' younger brother, Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius), to fire Alexis because he refuses to do business with her.

The 30-year-old actor first rose to fame when he starred in the popular teen drama series, Dawson's Creek. On the show, James Van Der Beek played Dawson Leery, an aspiring filmmaker who gets involved with his best friend, Josephine �Joey� Lynn Potter (Katie Holmes). Other cast members included Joshua Jackson (Bobby) as Pacey Witter, Oscar nominee Michelle Williams (Brokeback Mountain) as Jen Lindley and Kerr Smith (Justice) as Jack McPhee.

James Van Der Beek's other notable acting credits include Varsity Blues, The Rules of Attraction and Criminal Minds.

Other celebrities who have appeared as guest stars on Ugly Betty include Gina Gershon (Bound, Face/Off), and Salma Hayek, who also serves as an executive-producer for the show. Gershon is known for her portrayal of Italian cosmetics mogul Fabia, the arch-rival of Wilhelmina Slater (Vanessa Williams), while Hayek appeared in the first season as seductive magazine editor, Sofia Reyes.

In the forthcoming season of the series, actor Freddy Rodriguez and singer Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham are expected to appear. Rodriguez will play a new character named Giovanni, a sandwich cart operator who becomes Betty's (America Ferrera) new love interest, while Beckham will reportedly play a fat version of herself.

For this year's Emmy Awards, Ugly Betty's debut season picked up four acting nominations: Outstanding Lead Actress for Ferrera, Oustanding Supporting Actress for Williams and Outstanding Guest Actress for both Hayek and Judith Light. In addition, the show is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The second season of Ugly Betty will premiere on September 27.

Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams have split, Us Weekly can confirm.

A source close to the couple tells Us that Heath and Michelle "quietly and amicably split a few weeks ago."

"The relationship had been rocky recently. They tried very hard to make it work but finally decided to separate. They just grew apart."

The couple, who live in Brooklyn, NY and have a daughter, Mathilda, 23 months, met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004.

"They have a beautiful daughter and they are both committed to being great parents."

Reps for the couple could not be reached.

Tom Cruise and Katie Homes have added to the star power of California celebrity town Montecito by buying a $3.5 million (£1.75 million) estate there.

The couple bought the three-acre property, with existing building plans for a lavish home, from Rob Lowe and his wife Sheryl, according to website CelebrityBabylon.com.

The Cruises' new compound is just down the road from Oprah Winfrey's breathtaking $50 million (£25 million) home.
